Talk Spanish Today!

Talk Spanish Today sounds like one of those wild promises you might hear in an advertisement, but in this case it's a recommendation that the best thing for a student of Spanish is to get speaking it on a regular basis, as soon as possible. Everyone's situation is different and finding someone to speak Spanish with can be difficult. But it's well worth the effort. Think of it this way: there are Spanish Teachers all around us, if we only seek them.

Online Spanish Tutorial Material

You have a goal to learn Spanish. You know it's a fairly large task, and you want to accomplish it as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Well, I've been looking around the Web at all the free online Spanish tutorial material. There certainly is a lot of it. The question is do you have the time and motivation to work through all this material?

It's easy to fall into the trap of learning too much theory and not doing enough actual speaking of Spanish. As you make progress learning, you'll find out it's easier to hear Spanish spoken than it is to compose your own thoughts and put your thoughts into words and pronounce and speak the words correctly. That's were most of the effort is required.

The Recommendation

That's why my recommendation to all who want to learn Spanish is to get yourself talking to someone in Spanish on a daily basis as soon as possible. If you can take this one step, it will do more to get you to your goal of speaking Spanish than most everything else. I realize this is much easier said than done, but it's really worth the effort.

Begin Today

Start today by finding just one person you see at least a few times a week that you can greet with a friendly Buenos Dias! And every day - or every few days - add a ¿como estas?, a ¿que hay de nuevo? or ¿como te fue el fin de semana?

Keep adding phrases, and say them to your Spanish-speaking friend every day. You will learn Spanish, and you'll learn to think in Spanish.

Cutting Corners

By the way, as you're learning these new phrases and adding words to your Spanish vocabulary, do the extra step of learning how to spell and punctuate the words of all the sentences and phrases that you learn each day. Understand the correct grammar and pronunciation too. It's extra work now, but later, you'll be glad you did it.

Conclusion

Anyway, again, I realize for most people this is easier said than done. But please realize this is key to Spanish success. Or, look at it this way, if you were learning the piano, you'd be playing it every day, so speak Spanish every day. Good Luck to you!
