I would like to buy a house.
In the sentence above, comprar is the infinitive form of the verb so it contains the 2 words to and buy.



¿Cuanto dinero de enganche nesecito para comprar una casa?


How much of a down payment do I need to buy a house?



Estamos buscando una casa de tres recámaras y dos baños.


We're looking for a house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.



¿Cuantos años de experiencia tienes vendiendo casas?


How many years of experience do you have selling houses?
cuantos años is the way to say how many years. To ask someone how old they are simply ask ¿cuantos años tienes?



¿Que tan cercas a esta casa estan las escuelas y tiendas?


How close to this house are the schools and stores?
Use the "que tan" above for all sorts of questions that ask how much: for example, ¿que tan cercas? when you want to say how close? -- ¿que tan lejos? to say how far? -- or ¿que tan feliz estabas? is the way to say how happy were you?

You can save a lot if you find a housed repossessed by the bank.
The word for money is often implied in a lot of Spanish sentences.

La casa que te voy a enceñar tiene chimenea y garage de dos caros.


The house I'm going to show you has a fireplace and two-car garage.
See how two-car garage is translated above. Spanish will usually reverse the order from English in this situation. So it literally becomes garage of two cars or garage for two cars.



Este condominio esta recientamente renovado con nuevo pintura y alfombra.


This condominium is recently remodeled with new paint and carpet.



Como no tenemos suficiente para una casa, estamos buscando comprar un townhouse.


Since we don't have enough for a house, we're looking to buy a townhouse.



Esa casa tiene dos pisos y un sotáno muy grande.


That house has two floors and a very large basement.
