IR-ending verbs are another large group of regular Spanish verbs.
They're part of the regular ar, er, and ir ending verb forms. The list of Spanish sentences and phrases below shows samples of Spanish verbs ending in ir. All the main forms of the ir verbs are conjugated in a table of example phrases or sentences. The phrases have been recorded by a native Spanish speaker for you. The ir ending verbs are one of the regular verb forms. You'll see that each verb has a root or base, and an ending. You'll see that recognizing the endings used for each form of the different types of regular verbs is the key to conjugating Spanish verbs. As with the AR verbs, the verb table above has the verb endings highlighted in order to see and learn the correct verb endings. These bold verb endings are the same endings you'll find on all regular ar verbs. By knowing these verb endings you now know how to conjugate any regular verb that ends in the letters ir. Notice that the root or stem of the verb is the same in each form. It's the verb without its ir ending. To conjugate, just drop the ir from the verb stem and add the ending in bold from the verb conjugation you need in your sentence.
